The jar contains gentle, stabilized Magnesium Peroxide (whitener) and Aluminum Trihydroxide (polisher) that is "activated" by the formula-filled swabs.
The Powder: Magnesium Peroxide releases oxygen slowly in contact with atmospheric moisture, and scrubs away stains safely and effectively. It is also used as a disinfectant in cosmetics, toothpaste and pharmaceuticals.
While the Magnesium Peroxide works to lift stains, powder-fine particles of Aluminum Trihydroxide polish your teeth for a smooth, shiny surface.
